I was raised in the Florida Keys, where the natural world served as both my playground and my earliest source of inspiration. From a young age, I was captivated by the intersection of science and art—disciplines often seen as opposites, yet deeply intertwined in how they both seek to understand and express the world around us. I began painting portraits of loved ones and beloved cartoon characters, gradually expanding my work to include the intricate beauty of nature, wildlife, and the emotional texture of personal experience.

While my academic path led me deep into the sciences—culminating in a doctorate and PhD in chemistry—art has remained a constant companion: a meditative practice that grounds me and gives voice to something quieter and more intuitive. My work is a reflection of both worlds: analytical and emotional, precise and expressive.
